Paul started his career in Chicago working on brands such as Masonite, Miller Brewing, and Encyclopedia Britannica with WRA Marketing Services, before emigrating to the UK to work for Ogilvy & Mather. After reaching the Board at Ogilvy, Paul left to set up a new agency, Cramm Francis Woolf, and spent the next 14 years building it into one of the UK’s leading promotion/direct/digital marketing agencies. Account experience at CFW included Toshiba (TV, DVD), American Express (travelers checks, retail), Intel, Sainsbury’s grocers, Wal-Mart, British Airports Authority (retail arm, manages Heathrow and Gatwick airports), and the UK government (including Army Recruitment, which won the DMA Award in 2003 for best CRM program). The agency was named one of the top 10 most creative UK agencies, and was a recognized leader in the development of insight planning for promotional marketing. Returning to the US in 2004, Paul joined Robinson & Maites working on such brands as FedEx, Deloitte, Verizon, MB Financial in both business development and strategic planning capacities.
